Hey y’all! I tried making my own magnesium gummies using gelatin and magnesium powder, but they turned out super gooey and wouldn’t set. Used 2 tbsp gelatin, 1/2 cup water, and 1 tsp mag powder. Any tips? I want to avoid store-bought junk. 🧘‍♀️

Girl, you need to bloom the gelatin in cold water first! And maybe add a lil’ citric acid or fruit juice to help set. Also, those ratios seem off—try 3 tbsp gelatin to 1 cup liquid. Keep it paleo-friendly! 🥥

Yup, what Daphne said. Also, magnesium can mess with gelatin setting. Try using agar-agar instead (it’s plant-based). I use 2 tsp agar powder per 1 cup liquid + a splash of lemon juice. Comes out perfect for post-WOD recovery! 💪

Thanks y’all! I’ll try the agar route with a bit of juice. Do you add the mag powder after heating or before? And any flavor tips? 🙏

I mix the agar with cold liquid, bring to a boil, then simmer 2 min, let cool a bit, then stir in the mag powder. For flavor, I use a splash of orange juice or a drop of stevia—keeps it clean! 💥
