THREAD: Traveling with Magnesium Gummies - Do they melt? TSA rules?Started by GlowGigi

Hey everyone! Desperate mom here planning a road trip with my two toddlers. I rely on my magnesium gummies to survive the sleepless nights, but I'm worried about bringing them along. Do they melt in the car if it gets hot? Also, flying next month - will TSA give me trouble? Need all the tips!

GlowGigi - I travel for Crossfit comps all the time! Magnesium is KEY for recovery. I keep mine in my gym bag, never had melting issues unless you leave them baking in direct sun for hours. TSA-wise, I've flown with gummy vitamins multiple times - they treat them like regular supplements. Just keep them in original container to be safe. Pro tip: throw a silica gel packet in there to absorb moisture!

Minimalist perspective: I only travel with essentials. Magnesium gummies are worth the space. For hiking/road trips, I transfer a week's supply to a small silicone pouch (lightweight, reusable). Avoid plastic bags - they trap heat. If flying, TSA doesn't care about vitamins as long as they're not liquid. Just don't overpack - take only what you need.

Keto believer here! Most magnesium gummies have sugar alcohols that can survive heat better than regular gummies. Check your brand's ingredients. For travel, I keep mine in a cooler bag with my keto snacks - double duty! TSA has never questioned mine, even internationally. Just make sure they're clearly labeled supplements. Safe travels!
