Hey all, I'm going on a road trip + hiking trip next week. I take magnesium gummies daily and dont want to miss a dose. But I'm worried they'll melt in the car or my backpack. Any tips? Also, do they count as liquids for TSA? I'm flying to the trailhead.

Melting is a real issue. I keep mine in a insulated container with a cold pack, but for hiking, I take just enough for the day and keep them in a small container. They turn into a blob if left in a hot car. For TSA, they are gummies, not liquids, so they should be fine. But I always put them in a clear baggy and declare if asked. Safe travels!

TSA-wise, gummies are solid, so fine. But I'd suggest getting a small pill organizer and vacuum seal the gummies in a bag to keep air out. Also, if you have a power bank, you can bring a tiny fridge? Actually, maybe not. But I use a cooling pouch that you activate by squeezing - cheap and works for a few hours. For hiking, keep them in your pack's top pocket away from your back.

I've had mine melt in my gym bag once - it sucked. Now I put them in a small glass jar and wrap in a damp cloth. Evaporation cools them. But honestly, if they melt, they still work, just messy. So I'd say don't stress. Also, for travel, you could switch to capsules for the trip? But I get it, gummies are easier. Have fun hiking!

Thanks guys! The damp cloth trick sounds good. I'll try the cooling pouch idea too. I'll pack them in my carry-on and hope they don't become gummy soup. Appreciate the advice!
