Hey everyone! My dad (76) has been having trouble sleeping, and my gym buddy (32, super into fitness) wants to try melatonin for post-workout recovery. I want to get them a 'health pack' with gummies. Any recommendations? I'm looking for something that actually works, not just sugar pills.

I'm a bit skeptical about melatonin gummies for seniors. My mom tried them and they made her groggy the next day. Have you considered a lower dose? Maybe something like 1mg? Also for your friend, I've heard magnesium is better for sleep after workouts.

For your dad, look for gummies with a low dose (1-3mg) and no extra herbs that might interact with meds. For your friend, maybe a combo with L-theanine for calming? Brands like OLLY or Natrol are popular. But check the sugar content – some have a lot.

If you're getting them for health, please avoid the ones with high sugar. I've seen some with 3g of sugar per gummy – that's crazy! Look for sugar-free options, like SugarBear or some keto-friendly brands. Also, for the fitness guy, maybe a sleep gummy with melatonin and tart cherry extract – good for muscle recovery.

Thanks all! Good points about dosage and sugar. I'll check OLLY and SugarBear. L-theanine sounds nice too. My dad isn't on many meds, but I'll start him on 1mg. Appreciate the help!
