Just saw this article: "The all-time best sleep products of 2026, according to editors who love good sleep" and they mention a few melatonin gummy brands. Anyone else read it? What do you think? I'm always looking for better sleep aids but don't want to overdo it.

I haven't read that specific article but I've tried a couple of the ones that usually top those lists. As a fitness pro, I'm careful about sleep aids because they can affect recovery. Melatonin gummies are fine for occasional use but I'd recommend starting with a low dose (like 1-3mg) and seeing how you feel. Some of those 'natural' blends have extra herbs that might not be necessary. Also, check if they have any caffeine or stimulants - I've seen some weird combos.

Ooh I love reading those roundups! I make my own sleep treats at home sometimes - like chamomile and honey gummies. But for melatonin, I think the key is consistency. The article might be spot on if they're recommending brands that use clean ingredients. I'm a fan of the ones with tart cherry extract as a natural melatonin source. Anyone else notice that some gummies taste too sugary? That's a pet peeve of mine.

I approach melatonin with caution as a holistic healer. It's a hormone, not a vitamin, so long-term use can disrupt your natural production. I prefer to address the root causes of insomnia - like stress, diet, or screen time. That said, for occasional jet lag or shift work, a good quality melatonin gummy can be helpful. Look for ones with no artificial dyes or high fructose corn syrup. And always pair with good sleep hygiene!

Totally agree with PurePete about the root causes. I use melatonin maybe once a month when I have an early morning flight. But for daily use, I'd suggest magnesium glycinate or a good sleep mask. The gummies are nice as a treat though!
