Melatonin Gummies: Candy or Supplement?

Anyone else concerned about the sugar in these melatonin gummies? I teach yoga and I'm all about natural sleep aids, but most gummies have like 2g of sugar per serving. That's not a supplement, that's candy! I'd rather take a tasteless pill than spike my insulin before bed. But my kids refuse anything but gummies... Ugh.

I hear you, but honestly, my kids wouldn't touch melatonin if it wasn't gummies. I appreciate the convenience, but the sugar does bother me. I try to find ones with organic cane sugar or no sugar alcohols. Still, it feels like we're teaching them to rely on sweet treats for sleep. Not a fan of that message.

I'm new to meditation and sleep aids, so I appreciate this convo. I bought some 'natural' melatonin gummies and they taste like sour worms lol. I didn't realize it was so sugary. Are there any sugar-free options that actually work? Or should I just switch to capsules?

LunarLily, yes! There are sugar-free gummies sweetened with stevia or erythritol. But honestly, I find the liquid drops or sublingual tablets work faster and have zero sugar. Takes a bit to get used to the taste, but worth it. For kids, maybe try a sleep tea or a bedtime routine without gummies.

LunarLily, I've tried the sugar-free ones and they can be hit or miss. Some have a weird aftertaste from the stevia. What about those dissolvable strips? No sugar, and they dissolve quickly. My youngest actually likes them. But I get why people go for gummies, they're just so easy.
