Hey everyone! I'm heading out on a road trip and then a plane ride to do some nature photography in the desert. I always take melatonin gummies to help me sleep, but I'm worried about them melting in my bag. Also, what are the TSA rules for bringing them? Anyone have tips for keeping gummies safe during travel?

Oh, I've been there! I once took gummies on a flight and they were fine, but I had them in a carry-on. TSA is generally okay with gummies as long as they're in their original packaging or you have them listed as medication. But about melting? If it's hot, they can definitely get sticky. I'd suggest putting them in a small insulated container or a cooler if you're hiking. Also, you might want to check the consistency before you go—some brands are more heat-resistant than others.

I'm a newbie to melatonin, but I've heard that you can store gummies in the fridge or even freeze them if you're worried. For travel, I'd pack them in a small zip-lock bag and keep them in an insulated pouch. Also, maybe consider using the opportunity to practice some mindfulness instead of relying on sleep aids? Just a thought. But if you need them, make sure to keep them accessible and not in a hot car.

Thanks for the tips! I think I'll grab a small insulated pouch and maybe a reusable ice pack to keep them cool. Also, I'll keep them in my carry-on for the flight. QuartzQuinn, I get what you're saying about mindfulness, but I find it hard to sleep in new places, so I need the help. Appreciate the advice though!

One more thing—if you're hiking and it's going to be really hot, you might want to consider putting them in a thermos or a small cooler with a freeze pack. But also, check if your brand has a 'travel-friendly' version or maybe consider taking a different form like drops or patches for hiking trips. Just a thought. Have a great trip!
