Melatonin gummies vs. sugar: convenience or junk?

I don't get why people buy those melatonin gummies. They're basically candy with a tiny dose of melatonin. Look at the label: 5g of sugar per gummy! That's more sugar than a cookie. We're supposed to be supplementing, not eating dessert. Why not just use a sublingual tablet or a capsule? It's not that hard.

IDK, as a busy professional, convenience is king. I'd rather chew a tasty gummy than fumble with a tablet. Plus, the sugar helps it absorb faster, right? But I get the concern. Maybe look for sugar-free versions? I use the Olly ones and they're fine for me.

I'm with Yuri on this one. The 'candy-fication' of supplements is a problem. It normalizes high sugar intake and makes people think supplements are treats. There are plenty of clean melatonin options without added junk. Also, the sugar crash can mess with sleep quality. Stick to pure melatonin, people.

Fair points, but not everyone has the luxury of time. If a gummy helps you stay consistent, isn't that better than no melatonin at all? I'd rather have a little sugar than be sleep-deprived. But I respect your preference.

Consistency matters, sure. But there are sugar-free gummies! Or even better, get a dropper. It takes 5 seconds. I just think we should hold companies accountable for marketing supplements as candy. Our health is too important.
