Okay, so I bought these melatonin gummies for my 8-year-old because she has trouble falling asleep. Last night I found her in the pantry with the bottle, and she had eaten like 5 of them! I was freaking out, but then I remembered they're just melatonin, not real candy. Still, I'm worried she'll sneak more. Any advice on how to keep these away from kids? They look and taste just like gummy bears!

I feel you! I have to hide mine from my husband, lol. But seriously, you should keep them in a high cabinet or even in a lockbox. Also, maybe try the dissolvable tablets instead? They don't look like candy. My kid actually prefers the tablets because they dissolve quickly, and no chewing texture.

I'm with HealthHacker988 on the tablets, but also, check the dosage. Some kids are sensitive to melatonin. My son gets nightmares if he takes too much. And definitely talk to your pediatrician about the right dose. But yeah, treat them like medicine, not candy. Maybe keep them in the bathroom cabinet, not the pantry.

Honestly, I'm skeptical about melatonin gummies. They're basically candy with a hormone. For kids, I'd look into better sleep hygiene first – no screens before bed, dark room, consistent bedtime. But if you do use them, maybe switch to a brand that doesn't taste like sugar. There are some that are more bitter, which might deter her.

Haha, reminds me of when I was a kid and I'd sneak my mom's vitamin C gummies. I'd eat half the bottle and my lips would turn orange. But seriously, it's a common thing. Maybe get a child-resistant bottle? I know some brands have that. And you can also get a lockable container for all your supplements. Better safe than sorry!
