Just saw this article about new 'tummy-soothing' melatonin gummies for kids. Seems like more and more companies are jumping on the melatonin bandwagon. What does everyone think? Is this safe or just another marketing gimmick? I'm a bit wary about giving my daughter anything sleep-related, even if it's 'natural'.

I'm with you, Zoe. Melatonin is a hormone, not a vitamin. Kids' bodies already produce it. Giving extra might mess with their natural rhythms. Plus, those gummies are often full of sugar. I'd try chamomile tea or a warm bath first. But hey, that's just me.

I get the concern, but sometimes melatonin can be a useful short-term tool. For intense sleep issues, it might help reset the circadian rhythm. However, always consult a pediatrician first. And look for brands with third-party testing and no artificial junk. The 'tummy-soothing' part sounds like ginger or chamomile added, which is cool.

I've seen these too! I'm a nature photog, so I'm all about natural solutions. I tried a melatonin gummy once for jet lag and it knocked me out. But for kids? I'd rather do a bedtime routine, lavender oil, and no screens. That said, if a parent is desperate and does their research, I won't judge.

Thanks everyone! Great points. I think I'm leaning towards trying natural methods first, but maybe keep melatonin as a backup. I'd still love to hear if anyone's actually tried these specific ones though.
