New study on Melatonin Gummies - Legit or just hype?
Hey all, stumbled on this study about melatonin in gummies vs pills. Says gummies might have inconsistent dosing due to the manufacturing process. Some brands tested had way more or less melatonin than labeled. Is this legit or just fear-mongering? I take them for jet lag but now I'm questioning. Thoughts?
I've had gummies that tasted great but did nothing. And others that knocked me out. Maybe that's why? But honestly, if you want consistent dosing, you gotta go with capsules or liquid. Gummies are for taste, not precision. Still, the study might be cherry-picking brands. Always check for third-party testing.
The study seems legit to me. The methodology was solid - they tested a bunch of gummies from different stores. The issue is that melatonin is not strictly regulated, so manufacturers can be sloppy. But not all brands are bad. I look for ones with USP or NSF certification. That's the way to go if you insist on gummies.
Gummies are for kids, brah. I microdose melatonin sublingually for better sleep optimization. But seriously, I've seen that study, and it's a known issue. That's why I only trust brands that publish lab results. Also, keep in mind that melatonin supplements are not meant to be long-term. You'll mess up your natural rhythm.
