Scored Melatonin Gummies at Costco - Too Good to Be True?
Hey all, I just picked up a huge bottle of melatonin gummies at Costco for like $12. Normally these are $20+. I'm wondering if the lower price means they're lower quality or if I just got a steal? Anyone tried the Kirkland brand or seen similar deals?
Personally, I think big box stores like Costco get such good deals because they buy in massive bulk - doesn't mean lower quality! We've been using Kirkland's melatonin for my kids (with doc's ok) and it works fine. Just check the label for the same active ingredients as name brands.
I'm always skeptical about supplements, especially when they're cheap. But melatonin is one of the few that actually has research behind it. Price is usually about brand markup, not quality. As long as it's from a reputable store, you're probably fine. Just don't expect miracles if you're not sleep hygiene-ing properly.
I got a great deal on some at Target a while back - they were closing out a line. Honestly, they worked the same as the expensive ones. And I love that they're easy to take on my photography trips when I'm in a new time zone. Score!
Just a heads up - check if the gummies use natural flavors/colors or if they're packed with artificial stuff. Some cheaper brands might cut corners there. But if it's Costco, they usually have good quality standards. I'd say enjoy the deal, but read the ingredients!
