Hey all! Taking a road trip next week and want to bring my melatonin gummies for sleep. Anyone had issues with them melting in a hot car? And any tips for carrying them on a plane? Don't want a mess or TSA hassle. Thanks!

Good question! I've taken gummies on multiple flights. TSA is cool with them as long as they're in original packaging or a clear bag. They don't care about gummies specifically, just follow the 3-1-1 rule for liquids (but gummies aren't liquid). Melting is a real concern though. Keep them in a cool bag or insulated container, and if you're in a car, don't leave them in direct sunlight. I've had mine get soft but not fully melted. Use a small cooler if possible!

I've done a lot of hiking with gummies. They can get squishy in a backpack if you're in the sun. I put mine in a small glass jar (like a spice jar) and then wrap it in a sock or cloth. That insulates a bit. Also, if they do melt, you can put them in the fridge or freezer to solidify again—not ideal but works. For planes, I've never had issues; just keep them in your carry-on with other snacks. They might even get X-rayed and no one bats an eye.

Honestly, the taste changes if they melt and re-solidify. I once left a bottle in my glove compartment and they turned into a gooey blob. I still ate them (desperate times) but not the vibe. Now I always travel with a small insulated lunch bag and a reusable ice pack. For TSA, I've seen people bring all sorts of food, so gummies are a non-issue. Just keep them in a clear, labeled bag to be safe. Safe travels!
