Will my melatonin gummies survive a road trip through the desert?
Hey everyone, heading out on a 12-hour road trip across Arizona next week. I take 10mg melatonin gummies to sleep, but I'm worried they'll melt in the heat (car will be parked in sun sometimes). Also, any tips for traveling with them? TSA? We're driving, but still... #GummyMelt
LOL Kevin, you're overthinking. Gummies don't melt THAT easy. I've left mine in a hot car for a few hours and they just got a bit sticky. Throw them in a cooler with ice packs if you're really worried. TSA doesn't care about melatonin gummies, just keep in original bottle.
Actually, Kevin has a point. If it's over 100°F, they can get soft. I use a small insulated bag for mine. Also, check state laws if crossing borders - some states are weird about supplements. But usually fine.
KetoKevin909 - As a research nerd, I'll confirm: ideal storage is below 77°F. For travel, I'd suggest a portable mini-fridge or at least a cooler. And for TSA: gummies are not a liquid, so no 3-1-1 rule. But don't bring more than 90 days supply. Source: FDA guidelines.
Thanks guys! Gonna try the cooler trick. And Noah, good to know about the 90-day rule - I was gonna bring a huge jar haha. Appreciate it!
