Hey all, I just started taking these new multivitamin gummies (the ones with vitamin C, D, B12 etc). I usually have a big cup of coffee every morning. Is it safe to take the gummy at the same time as coffee? Will the caffeine mess with absorption? I'm kinda addicted to coffee so skipping it is not an option lol. Any advice?

I'm not a doctor but I've read that caffeine can interfere with absorption of some vitamins, especially B vitamins and iron. But multivitamin gummies usually don't have iron. Still, I'd space them out by at least 30 mins. Also check if the gummy has any stimulants like guarana? Probably not. But coffee is acidic and might break down the gummy too fast? Idk. I just take mine with herbal tea to be safe.

I used to take mine with coffee and felt jittery, but that might just be the coffee. Now I take my gummy after meditation, with a glass of water. Feels more mindful. But honestly, I think you're fine. Just listen to your body. Also, some gummies have sugar alcohols that can cause gas if mixed with coffee? Never had that issue tho.

As a marathon runner, I take my multivitamin gummy with my morning coffee every day before a run. Never had a problem. But I also make sure to eat something small first. If you're worried, take it with food. The only thing I'd watch out for is if the gummy has high-dose B12 – coffee can deplete B vitamins over time, so you might need more. But generally safe. Just don't take it on an empty stomach with coffee if you're sensitive.

Thanks everyone! I'll try taking it with a snack and see how I feel. Appreciate the tips. Probably overthinking it but better safe than sorry.
