Hey all! I'm trying to make my own multivitamin gummies at home. I used grass-fed gelatin, a mix of vitamin C, B12, and D3 powders, and a little honey. Followed a recipe online but my gummies turned into a hard, rubbery brick. Did I use too much gelatin? Or maybe the vitamin powders messed with the setting? Any tips?

Oh no! 🤔 I've been there. First, check your gelatin bloom – you need to let it sit in cold water for 5-10 mins before heating. Also, vitamin powders can be acidic, which might break down the gelatin. Try adding a pinch of baking soda to neutralize. And use a candy thermometer – heat to 180°F max. Agar is more forgiving for acidic ingredients if you wanna switch. Hope that helps! 🌿

Wait, you're making your own vitamins? That seems risky. How do you know the dosage is correct? And aren't gummies just sugar? I'd rather buy a reputable brand. My kids got a weird batch once and I swore off DIY. Just sayin' 🚫

I've done this a few times. The bricking happens if you overheat or add too much gelatin – try 1 tbsp per 1 cup liquid. Also, some vitamins degrade with heat, so consider adding them after the mixture cools a bit. What's your target dosage? I use a pipette to fill molds evenly. Stay swole 💪

Honestly, supplements are a waste of money and these DIY things are just sugar pills. Your body probably doesn't even absorb the vitamins in gelatin form. Stick to whole foods. But if you must, maybe try a recipe from a chemist, not a blogger. Good luck I guess.
