Gummies turning hard and white - still safe?
Hey everyone, I've been taking these multivitamin gummies for a couple months now. I noticed the current bottle has some gummies that are harder than usual and a few have a white coating—looks like sugar bloom? Also, some are sticking together. They still smell fine and not expired. Are they safe to eat? I don't want to waste them but also don't want to risk anything.
I've had that happen before. Usually it's just temperature changes or air getting in. The white stuff is just sugar crystallizing, it's harmless. As long as they don't look moldy or smell off, they're fine. I've eaten them like that and no issues.
Same here. I've had gummies get hard and stick together. It's normal. Just make sure they're not expired. If they're still within the date, you're good. Sometimes I pop the hard ones in my mouth and let them dissolve, but they don't taste as good. Still safe though.
Thanks guys! That's reassuring. I was worried about the texture change meaning they went bad. I'll keep taking them. Might separate the sticky ones or store them in a cooler place next time. Appreciate the help!
