Ugh, I feel this so hard. My 4-year-old found my bottle of adult multivitamin gummies yesterday and ate like 5 before I caught him. He said 'mommy's candy is yucky but I ate it anyway' ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ. Now I'm worried about the iron content and he's totally fine but I'm freaking out. Anyone else have kids who can't tell the difference? Should I switch to pills?

Oh no! First, deep breaths mama. This is why I'm so passionate about natural alternatives. Those synthetic gummies often have artificial colors that make them look like candy - no wonder kids get confused! Have you considered making your own? I blend organic fruit purees with spirulina and chia seeds, then dehydrate them. My kids love them and they know they're 'mommy's special health treats' not candy. Plus, zero plastic waste from bottles!

Been there! My husband did the same thing with my pre-workout gummies last month - ate half the jar thinking they were my 'new energy candy.' Let's just say his afternoon Zoom meetings were... energetic ๐Ÿ˜‚. For kids though, I keep mine in a locked supplement box (got it on Amazon). As a busy pro, I need my gummies convenient but safe. Maybe try a high cabinet? Or those child-proof caps that are actually child-proof?

FloraFinn - don't switch to pills yet! I had this issue with my niece. What worked for me was DIY labeling. I got some cute printable stickers that say 'AUNT PAT'S GROWTH POTION' with little vegetable drawings. Now she asks for them by name! If you're not into making your own like YogaYara (though her recipe sounds amazing!), you could try transferring store-bought gummies to a clearly medicinal-looking container. Kids are smart about visual cues!

Thanks everyone! YogaYara - your DIY recipe sounds intense but maybe I'll try a simpler version. PlantPat - LOVE the labeling idea! My kid is obsessed with 'special potions.' FitnessFanatic - a lockbox might be overkill but you're right about high cabinets. Update: pediatrician said he'll be fine but to watch for tummy issues. Lesson learned - keep them with the medicine not the snacks!
