THREAD: Weird side effect from my multivitamin gummies - anyone else?Started by OP

Hey everyone, I've been taking these multivitamin gummies for about 2 weeks now (the ones with the cute bear shapes lol). They taste great and I feel more energetic, but I've noticed something weird - my urine has turned super bright yellow, almost neon! It's not painful or anything, just... really bright. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried?

OP, don't panic! This is actually very common with B-vitamin supplements, especially B2 (riboflavin). As a retired nurse, I saw this all the time - it's harmless and just means your body is excreting excess water-soluble vitamins. The bright yellow color is literally the riboflavin passing through. Just make sure you're drinking enough water throughout the day. If you notice any pain or other symptoms, then consult your doctor, but otherwise it's normal!

omg I had something similar but different! I started taking gummy multivitamins last month and I've been having the most VIVID dreams ever. Like, full-on movie plots every night. At first it freaked me out, but now I kinda look forward to bedtime meditation because I never know what dream adventure I'll have. Maybe our bodies are just adjusting to the new nutrients? Has anyone tried meditating with these effects? Might be cool to explore.

Bright urine is normal like CitrusClaire said, but check your gummy ingredients OP. Some brands load up with sugar alcohols or artificial stuff that can mess with your system. On keto, I'm super careful about supplements. What brand are you taking? Might be worth switching to a cleaner formula. Also, are you getting enough electrolytes? Sometimes vitamin absorption gets weird if you're dehydrated.

Nature does the brightest colors! I photograph flowers all day, and honestly, your description reminds me of dandelions or buttercups. :) As long as there's no discomfort, it's probably fine like everyone says. I take a plant-based gummy multivitamin and haven't noticed color changes, but I did have a week where everything tasted slightly metallic. It passed after a while. Our bodies are amazing at adapting!
