Hey all, I've been taking NAC gummies for about a week now (600mg per day) and I've noticed my dreams have become insanely vivid and detailed. Not scary or anything, just really intense. Is this a known thing? I'm a bit concerned since I'm a mom and I like to keep things normal. Anyone else experience this?

Oh yeah, that's totally a thing! NAC can boost glutathione and affect NMDA receptors, which can ramp up dream activity. I've had it too. Also, sometimes it changes how things taste… like my coffee tasted weird for a few days. Nothing to worry about, just your brain adjusting. Maybe try taking it earlier in the day? Works for me.

Vivid dreams are a common side effect of NAC, especially when you first start. It's due to its effects on glutamate. I actually track my dream recall and NAC definitely increases it. Also, you might notice your pee smells like sulfur or is bright yellow – that's just the sulfur in NAC. Totally harmless. Your body will adapt in a week or two.

I get the same! I actually use it for lucid dreaming. The dreams are so real I wake up feeling like I actually lived them. If it bothers you, try a lower dose or split it. I do 300mg morning and night and it's more manageable. Also, make sure you're hydrated – NAC can be drying.

Thanks everyone! That's reassuring. I was worried it was something weird. I'll try taking it earlier and see if that helps. And yes, I did notice my urine was bright yellow, lol. Glad it's normal. Appreciate the tips!
