Is it just me, or are these gummies basically candy now?

I just bought a new bottle of NAC gummies and I swear they taste like gummy bears. Like, why do we need sugar and corn syrup in supplements? We're adults trying to be healthy, not kids needing a treat. I miss when you could just get a plain pill. Anyone else feel this way or am I just being a grump?

You're not wrong, Paula. I've looked into this a bit. Many gummy supplements use a lot of added sugars to mask the bitter taste of active ingredients. It's a trade-off for convenience. But some brands do offer sugar-free or low-sugar options – you just have to read labels carefully. I'd rather have a bit of sugar than choke down a horse pill, personally.

I love my gummies haha! They make me actually remember to take them. Yeah there's a little sugar but who cares? It's like a tiny treat that also helps my body. I think people get too hung up on purity. Life is about balance. Plus, have you tasted the plain pills? Yuck. I'll take my fruity NAC any day.

I get the convenience factor, but it feels like a slippery slope. Next thing you know, we'll have 'supplement' lollipops. I just want the benefits without the junk. Nancy, you mentioned sugar-free options? Got any recommendations? I might check those out.

Sure! Look for brands that use monk fruit or stevia instead of sugar. Some companies also do 'gummy' textures with pectin instead of gelatin and no added sugar. Just be aware that even 'sugar-free' can have sugar alcohols which upset some people's stomachs. Always check the label!
