So I started taking NAC gummies for sleep (I heard it helps with that) but after a week I noticed my skin looks like I had a facial! Less redness, more glow. Anyone else experienced this? Not complaining but like... is this a thing?

Ha! Yes, same here! I take NAC for my allergies but my wife said my skin looked brighter. I thought it was just me. It's the glutathione boost, right? NAC is a precursor to glutathione, the master antioxidant. That's why your skin is glowing. Keep at it!

Science nerd here. Bob is right. NAC increases glutathione, which fights oxidative stress. That can improve skin health. But also, it can affect sleep by modulating glutamate. So you're getting a twofer. Glad it's working for you!

As a retired nurse, I've seen NAC used in the hospital for acetaminophen overdose, but it's interesting how people find these off-label uses. I take it too for my sinuses, and my nails seem stronger. But always check with your doc if you're on other meds. But hey, if your skin is happy, enjoy it!
