NAC gummies – are we just eating candy now?

I remember when supplements were just pills or powder. Now everything is a gummy. I wanted to try NAC for respiratory support, but the brands I found have like 3g of sugar per serving. That's basically candy! Are we really trading health for convenience? Feels like the supplement industry is just jumping on the candy bandwagon.

I get the concern, but honestly, if gummies help me actually take my supps consistently, I'm okay with a little sugar. I work out hard and I'm not gonna get diabetes from a couple gummies a day. Plus, there are sugar-free options if you look.

I hear you, WaterWillow. I'm a parent and I try to keep my kids away from excess sugar. But for NAC in particular, many brands now have no-sugar-added versions sweetened with monk fruit or stevia. I've found a good one that's clean. So there are pure options if you dig.

I'm new to this, so sorry if this is dumb, but what's NAC exactly? And does the sugar really matter that much? I'm just trying to get into supplements for the first time and the gummy form is appealing 'cause I hate swallowing pills.

NAC stands for N-acetylcysteine. It's an antioxidant that helps with mucus and liver health. And yeah, sugar matters if you're trying to avoid it for blood sugar reasons or just want a clean supplement. But I get it, gummies are easier. I just wish there was more emphasis on purity over making them taste like candy.
