Another omega-3 study? This one looks fishy (pun intended)

Just read this: https://pmid.example.com/12345678 TLDR: High dose omega-3 (2g EPA) reduced inflammation markers in obese adults. But it was funded by a supplement company. Seems sketchy to me. What do you guys think? Is there any good evidence for omega-3s? Or just marketing?

Eh, I'm with you – industry funded studies are always sus. But tbh, omega-3s have a ton of research behind them. I take algae oil for the EPA/DHA. The fishy burps are real tho, lol. Have you tried a vegan source?

I’ve been taking Nordic Naturals for years. My doc said my omega-3 index was low, so I started supplementing. I think there’s legit evidence for heart health, but the inflammation stuff might be overblown. Also, check the dose – a lot of gummies have barely any EPA/DHA.

Thanks for the tips. @PlantPat31 I tried algae oil but it gave me indigestion. Maybe I need a different brand. @GreenGreg109 good point about dosage – this study used 2g, which is way more than a gummy. Might just stick to eating salmon.

Salmon is good, but farmed vs wild makes a difference. Also, you'd need to eat it like 3 times a week. That's why I supplement. Just look for third-party tested stuff (like USP or NSF). And yeah, avoid the cheapo gummies – they're basically candy.
