Gummies changed color and got hard – safe to eat?

Hey everyone, I've been taking these omega-3 gummies for about 3 months. Last week I noticed some of them are darker and harder than before, and a few are stuck together. They smell fine, no weird taste. Is this still safe to consume? Worried about rancidity or something.

Honestly I've seen that happen if they get too warm or old. I'd toss them if they're hard or clumpy. Better safe than sorry! I once ate some that changed color and got a weird aftertaste, not worth it.

As a former nurse, I'd advise caution. Color/texture changes can indicate degradation. Omega-3s are prone to oxidation, which can make them rancid and less effective. If it's just sugar bloom (white powder), that's cosmetic, but if they're hard or dark, I'd replace them.

I keep my gummies in the fridge. Never had an issue. If they're stuck, toss. Minimalist tip: buy smaller bottles so you use them up faster. Less waste.

Check the expiration and storage. My techy side says maybe the temp sensors? But seriously, if you see bloom or hardening it's probably fine if they aren't expired. But the color change could be oxidation. I'd contact the manufacturer to be sure.
