My Omega-3 gummies turned into a rock - still safe?

I bought a new bottle of omega-3 gummies last month. They were fine at first but now they're hard as a rock and some are stuck together. There's also a white powder on them. Is this mold or sugar bloom? Can I still eat them? I hate wasting money but don't wanna get sick.

Ugh, that's so frustrating. It's probably just sugar bloom from temp changes. Gummies do that sometimes. I've eaten them like that and been fine. But if they smell off or taste super weird, toss them. Next time store them in a cool, dark place.

I've had the same happen! I think it's the omega oils separating or crystallizing. I usually try to break them apart and if they still taste ok, I eat them. But check the expiration date. If it's past, better safe than sorry.

Thanks guys! They don't smell bad, just kinda like fishy oil. I'll try to pry them apart and see if they taste ok. Saving money is my main concern lol.

Lol I get it! But honestly, cheap omega-3 supplements are often rancid even when fresh. Might be worth splurging on a better brand next time. Look for ones with vitamin E as preservative.
