Hey all, heading on a 10-hour flight to Europe next week and want to bring my omega-3 gummies. Anyone know if they'll melt in checked luggage? And what about TSA rules for gummies in carry-on? I've got a long hike after landing too, so storage tips appreciated!

Bob, I've taken gummies in my carry-on before. TSA didn't bat an eye cause they're supplements, not liquids. But melting? Big issue! Flew to Florida in summer and my gummies turned into a sticky blob. Now I put them in a small insulated bag with an ice pack. Works like a charm!

For hiking, I'd suggest keeping them in a cool, dry place like a snack pouch. I use a small metal tin with a silica gel packet to stop moisture. They can get soft but won't fully melt unless it's scorching. Also, if you're traveling through multiple climates, maybe buy a fresh bottle at your destination?

Oh man, this brings back memories! Back in the 90s, I traveled with those gooey bear-shaped vitamins and they fused into a single gummy rock. 😂 These days I just put 'em in a ziploc and stash in my personal item (not the overhead bin). Never had TSA issues. Have a great trip!
