Hey all! Going on a 10-hour flight and then a hiking trip. I always bring my omega-3 gummies but I'm worried they'll melt in my carry-on. Also, what about TSA rules? Any tips for keeping them from turning into a gooey mess?

I feel your pain! I've carried gummies on planes many times. They're fine at room temp but if it's hot in the cabin they can get soft. I keep mine in a small insulated bag with a cold pack (the gel kind, must be frozen solid for TSA). Also, they're not a liquid so they pass security easily. Just make sure they're in original container to avoid questions.

I've done a lot of hiking with them. For hiking, I put them in a small silicone tube (like for pills) and keep it in my backpack's outer pocket. They might get a bit soft but not a total mess. For planes, I've seen people freeze them before flight - they stay solid for a while. Just check TSA rules for ice packs: if frozen solid at check-in, it's good.

Dude, just eat them all before you board and buy more at your destination 😂 But seriously, TSA doesn't care about gummies. Only liquids/gels. I've carried them in a ziplock and they passed. The only time they melted was when I left them in a hot car. So keep them out of direct sunlight. Also, they're less messy than oil capsules, so no worries.

Thanks everyone! I'll try the insulated bag with a cold pack trick and keep them in my personal item. And maybe store them in a small hard case for the hiking part. Appreciate the tips!
