Omega-3 on sale at Costco - too good to be true?
So I was at Costco today and saw a huge bottle of Omega-3 gummies on sale for like $9.99. Normally they're $20+. I grabbed one but now I'm wondering, is it lower quality? Or is it a steal? Any thoughts?
Girl, you gotta check the source! Many cheap omega-3s are from fish that aren't sustainably sourced, and they might have fillers. Also, if it's not vegan, it's not for me. But if you're into that, just make sure it's purified for heavy metals. I'd rather pay more for algae-based, honestly.
I've bought those before! At that price, it's a steal IMO. But I agree with Nancy, check the label. Look for EPA and DHA amounts. Some cheaper ones have less of the good stuff. Otherwise, it's probably fine. I take them every day with my meditation routine, helps with my joints.
Honestly, supplements are a scam half the time. But omega-3 is one of the few with science behind it. Still, I'd be suspicious of a huge discount. Could be near expiration or they changed the formula. Check the lot number online. And remember, you get what you pay for - sometimes.
Ha! I'd just make my own gummies at home. But for a deal like that, I'd try them. Just do a taste test - if they taste like fishy rancid oil, that's bad. Otherwise, enjoy! Worst case, it's a cheap experiment.
