so i'm not really into supplements, but my doc said omega-3 might help with my sleep since i was waking up a lot. been taking 1000mg fish oil for like 3 weeks. sleep is still kinda meh, but i swear my skin looks less dry and red? and i feel less stressed overall?? anyone else get random benefits from these things? not complaining but i'm confused lol

omg YES. i started omega-3 for my joints (runner here) and after a month my aesthetician asked what i was using on my face. i was like... fish burps? 😂 but seriously, the anti-inflammatory stuff is real. it can help with skin barrier and even mood. i still drink 4 cups of coffee a day though so maybe don't listen to me about stress lol

funny you mention stress. i take it for recovery after weekend hikes and i swear i'm less cranky on mondays. could be placebo but i'll take it. @FuelFrank245 what brand are you using? some have more EPA which is supposed to be better for mood, DHA for skin/brain. might be why you're seeing those effects.

thanks for the replies! didn't know about the EPA/DHA ratio thing. i checked my bottle and it says 180 EPA / 120 DHA per capsule. is that decent? also @DewyDaphne24 the fish burps are real but i started keeping them in the freezer, seems to help a bit.

freezer trick is a game changer. and yeah 180/120 is okay but for mood/skin you might want more EPA. i switched to a higher EPA one and my skin is still glowy. but honestly if it's working for you, don't overthink it. sleep might catch up too, it took me like 6 weeks to notice.
