Are we eating candy or vitamins? The sugar debate!
I've been into supplements for years, and I'm getting tired of these gummy vitamins that are basically candy. I just bought a bottle of 'organic' gummies and they have 5g of sugar per serving! That's more than a fun size Snickers! What happened to plain old pills? I want my vitamins without the sugar rush, not a dessert. Is anyone else bothered by this 'candy-fication'?
lol, I get where you're coming from, but I love the gummies! They taste so good, and I actually remember to take them. I used to skip my pills all the time because they were boring and hard to swallow. Plus, the convenience of popping a tasty gummy is worth the sugar to me. I have my smart bottle that reminds me to take them, and I can track my intake on my phone. It's all about making healthy habits easier, right?
I'm with VitalVince on this. As someone on a strict keto diet, I can't afford to blow my carb limit on vitamins. I've had to search high and low for sugar-free gummies, and even those have sugar alcohols that mess with my stomach. I wish they'd make more low-carb options that don't taste like chalk. I'd rather take a pill and get my nutrients without the extra junk. Convenience isn't worth sacrificing my macros.
I remember when vitamins were just pills, and you took them with a glass of water. Now, everything has to be a treat. I'm not against gummies for kids who need the taste, but for adults? It seems a bit childish. But hey, to each their own. I just stick to my plain old tablets. No sugar, no fuss. I know they're working because I feel good, and that's what matters.
