Cheap gummy powders at Costco - too good to be true?
So I was at Costco today and saw these gummy vitamin powders on sale for like $15 for a big tub. Normally they're $30+. I'm tempted to stock up, but a part of me wonders if the lower price means they're using lower quality ingredients or something. Are they just clearing out old stock? Anyone tried these?
From what I've seen, sales like that are often just to move inventory before a reformulation or packaging change. The ingredients are usually the same. Check the expiration date and the label for any differences. If it's the same as the regular price one, it's a steal. Just make sure it's not a 'new and improved' version that's actually cutting corners. I've been using gummy powders for a while and haven't noticed quality issues with sale items.
I'd be careful with those. I tried a cheap brand once and it was full of sugar and fillers, not the good stuff. But if it's from Costco, they usually have decent quality control. Check the ingredients for actual vitamins and minerals, and watch out for added sugars. I'd rather pay more for a clean product, but if the label looks good, go for it.
Bro, I'm all about saving money. If it's from Costco, it's probably fine. They have a great return policy anyway. I'd buy it and try it. If it's garbage, return it. But usually, sales are just to get you in the door. I've bought stuff on sale there that was the same as full price. Just check the batch date to make sure it's fresh.
