Hey y’all. I opened my bottle of ashwagandha gummies and they’ve got this white coating and are rock hard. They also got sticky and clumped together. Are they still okay to take or should I toss them? I hate wasting stuff.

That sounds like sugar bloom, totally normal. But if they’re hard as a rock, they prob lost moisture. Check the exp date. If it’s far out, they’re prob fine just less tasty. I’d eat 'em tbh.

Actually, sugar bloom is just sugar recrystallizing, safe to eat. But if they’re sticky/hard, could be moisture damage leading to mold risk. Check for any weird smell or mold spots. When in doubt, throw out. I’d say toss to be safe.

No weird smell and no mold spots. Exp is good. I’ll prob try one and see. Thanks for the advice!
