Just read this study on pubmed (PMID: 12345678) claiming that high-dose vitamin C powder significantly reduces cold duration by 2 days. Seems almost too good to be true? Anyone else seen this? I'm tempted to try it but want to know if there's any bias.

Oh man, I remember when everyone was hyped about vitamin C in the 90s. My mom used to give me those chewables every day. Personally I think powders are better than gummies for dosing, but yeah, that study might be funded by a supplement company. Check the conflict of interest section.

As a skeptical mom, I always look at sample size and who funded it. If it's a small study or from a supplement company, I take it with a grain of salt. But I do use a vitamin C powder in smoothies for my kids and it seems to help. Hard to know.

Good points. The DOI says it's from a university, but the authors have ties to a vitamin C brand. Hmm. Maybe I'll just stick to my gummy vitamins for now. Thanks for the reality check!
