Pro tip: hide the gummy vitamins or your kid will think they’re candy

So my 5yo found the bottle of elderberry gummies yesterday and ate like half of them before I noticed. I freaked out, called poison control, and they laughed at me and said he’d just have a stomach ache and poop rainbows. Anyone else’s kids mistake these for candy?

Oh man, that’s a classic. My youngest did the same with our multivitamins. Now I keep them in the fridge behind the yogurt. The texture is weird enough that my oldest refuses to eat them says they’re “too slimy.” Kids, man.

I live out of a van and keep my gummies in a locked dry bag. My partner (yes, grown adult) tried to sneak one thinking it was a fruit snack. I had to label it “supplements - NOT CANDY” in sharpie.

My kids call them “squishy bears” and they love them. But I’ve had to set a “one per day” rule because my daughter would eat the whole bottle if I let her. The texture thing is real though - my wife hates the chalky ones.
