Traveling with gummy vitamins - do they melt? TSA tips?

Hey everyone! I'm heading on a 2-week trip: plane, then hiking. I always take my gummy vitamins but worried they'll melt or get confiscated. Anyone traveled with gummies? Do they survive heat? TSA rules? I store them in a ziplock, but any better tips?

TSA is fine with gummies - I've flown dozens of times with them in my carry-on. They're not liquids or gels. As for melting, I keep them in my backpack in the cabin, not checked luggage. If it's hot, they might get a bit soft but not melt entirely. I'd avoid leaving them in a hot car though!

I always bring mine in a small, hard container (like an old pill bottle) to prevent squishing. For hiking, I use a insulated bag with an ice pack if it's really hot. Also, check if the gummies are gelatin-based - they melt more easily. Some brands are pectin-based and more heat-stable.

lol I melt more than my gummies on trips. But seriously, I just toss them in my toiletry bag in checked luggage and never had issues. They might stick together but still edible. For long hikes, I put a few in a small snack baggie - they don't melt in my pocket unless I'm in Death Valley.
