Anyone else get super weird dreams on prenatal gummies?
So I've been taking these strawberry prenatal gummies for about 2 weeks now, and I'm having the most vivid, bizarre dreams every night. Like last night I dreamt I was a professional dog walker in space, and the dogs were floating around and I had to lasso them with leashes. It's not scary, just... wild. And I also noticed my pee is super bright yellow, like highlighter yellow, but I've heard that's from the B vitamins. Just wondering if anyone else gets the dream thing? Or am I just losing it?
Hey there! Yes, vivid dreams are actually pretty common with prenatal vitamins, especially if they contain vitamin B6. B6 is known to influence dream vividness and recall. Also, the bright yellow urine is 100% normal - that's just your body excreting excess riboflavin (B2). Nothing to worry about! Also, your dream sounds hilarious - I recommend logging those. Could be a future screenplay haha. Just make sure you're taking them as directed and staying hydrated. Pregnancy dreams are already crazy, these gummies just amp it up!
Yooo, same thing happened to me when I started taking gummies for my iron (not prenatal, but similar). I woke up in a cold sweat thinking I was being chased by a giant broccoli. Haha! Also, that neon pee is like a badge of honor. But seriously, if the dreams get too intense, try taking them in the morning instead of at night? That helped me a bit. And make sure you're not taking more than the recommended dose - I've seen people do that to get 'extra nutrients' and it just gives them crazy side effects.
Thanks guys! Good to know I'm not alone. I might try the morning thing though because last night I dreamt I was giving birth to a golden retriever and then it grew wings and flew away. That's a bit too much for me. Also, NatureNancy, you're right about the B6 - I just checked the label and it's got 2mg. I'll start taking it with breakfast and see if that chills out the dreams. Appreciate the input!
Glad to help, XenonX887! Yeah, taking them in the morning could definitely reduce the intensity since your body's melatonin levels are different then. Also, make sure you're getting enough magnesium - some people find that helps with sleep quality and dream recall. Though if you're just starting your prenatal journey, it's all part of the fun! Enjoy your flying golden retrievers - at least they're friendly, right? :)
