Hey everyone! I'm 12 weeks along and have been taking these prenatal gummies (the ones with DHA). But I'm a coffee lover and can't function without my morning cup. Is it safe to take the gummies with coffee? I've read somewhere that caffeine might interfere with absorption. Any thoughts?

I'm not a doctor, but I keep things simple. If you're worried, just wait an hour between coffee and gummies. That's what my wife does. She's had two kids and she's fine. But honestly, I think the main thing is to take them consistently. Don't overthink it.

Thanks Mike! I might try that. But does coffee actually mess with the vitamins? I've read some conflicting stuff.

I did a deep dive on this when my sister was pregnant. The research is sparse, but caffeine is a diuretic and can increase urination, potentially flushing out water-soluble vitamins like B and C. But the gummies are mostly fat-soluble (A, D, E, K) and those are absorbed with food. So coffee shouldn't affect them much. Still, taking them with a meal is better. You could have your coffee, then a breakfast, then the gummies. Or just take them at night if you're consistent. But I'm not a medical pro, so ask your OB.

See, tech guy overcomplicates. Just take them when you remember. If it's with coffee, it's fine. My wife took them with orange juice once. You'll be alright.
