So my 3-year-old found my bottle of prenatal gummies and now she's convinced they're candy. I caught her trying to open them yesterday, and when I told her no, she threw a full-blown tantrum. I'm worried she might actually get into them one day. Any tips on how to keep them away from her, or am I doomed to hide them like a secret agent? 😂

lol that's a classic! My dog got into mine once and it was not fun. But seriously, for kids, you gotta put them somewhere high or locked. Those gummies look exactly like candy, no wonder kids want them. Maybe get a childproof lock for the cabinet? Or keep them in a container that's not see-through. Also, I've heard some brands make a 'sour' version that kids might not like as much 😉

As a former nurse, I can't stress enough how dangerous it can be if a child eats iron-containing gummies. Please keep them out of reach and in a child-resistant container. If she ever does get into them, call poison control immediately. Also, try to have a conversation with her about 'mommy's vitamins' not being for kids. Maybe let her have her own vitamin gummies if she's old enough, so she feels included. Stay safe!

Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely move them to a locked drawer. And I like the idea of getting her own gummies - though she's only 3, so maybe not yet. But I'll try the 'mommy's special medicine' talk. Hopefully she won't be as persistent as she was with the cookie jar!
