OB/GYNs' top pick? Plus, are any of these vegan-friendly or low-sugar?

Just came across this article: 'The 9 Best Prenatal Vitamins That OB/GYNs Recommend — and Moms Actually Take'. It lists some popular gummy options. But you know how articles are — they don't always drill down into taste or dietary restrictions. Wanted to see what you guys think! Any experience with these? I'm particularly curious about the taste and if they're actually gentle on the stomach.

Hey! Taste-wise, I've tried a few gummy prenatals. The Olly ones are pretty good, like candy honestly. But some of the 'natural' ones have a weird aftertaste. SmartyPants are decent too. The article mentioned Nature Made? Their gummies are okay but a bit tart. Anyone else find that some prenatals have a weird texture? Like too chewy or melt in the package?

As a vegan, I'm always checking labels. Most gummy prenatals use gelatin, so they're not vegan. But the article didn't highlight that. I've been using the Vegums prenatal gummies — they're vegan and taste like berries. But they don't have iron, so you have to supplement that separately. Also, a lot of gummies contain fish oil for DHA, which is a no-go for vegans. So yeah, limited options. Anyone know of a vegan gummy with DHA from algae?

Can we talk about sugar? Most gummy prenatals have like 3-4g of added sugar per serving. That adds up! I try to avoid sugar as much as possible. The article didn't mention sugar content at all. I'm using the Needed prenatal powder, not a gummy, because it's sugar-free. But if you want gummies, Garden of Life's mykind organics prenatal has only 1g of sugar from organic fruits. But they're not as tasty. I wish there were more low-sugar gummy options. Anyone found a tasty gummy with low sugar?

Thanks for the input! So taste-wise, Olly and SmartyPants seem popular. Vegan options are limited but Vegums exist (minus iron). And sugar content is a concern — Garden of Life might be a compromise. I'll check those out. Also, the article mentioned Ritual? Their gummies are kind of a hybrid — they have a delayed-release capsule but it's not a gummy? Confusing. Anyone tried Ritual's prenatal? It's not a gummy but they have a lemon flavor...
