Just saw this article about the EPA and DHA market hitting $4B. I'm all for it, especially if it means better prenatal gummies on the market. I've been taking Nordic Naturals for a while but curious if prices might drop with more competition.

Ugh, but are these omega-3s from sustainable sources? Most fish oil is trash for the ocean. I only use algae-based DHA gummies – way better for the planet and no fish burps. Hope the growth includes more plant-based options.

The market growth reflects rising awareness of omega-3 benefits for fetal brain development. But quality matters over quantity – look for brands that test for heavy metals and use natural vitamin E as preservative. I recommend looking for 'triglyceride form' on labels.

Good points, Mia and Quincy. Any recs for algae-based prenatal gummies that actually taste decent? Tried one brand that was chalky.

I use 'Smartypants Prenatal' – they have algae DHA and taste like citrus. Not perfect but better than fish oil. Also check 'Ritual' – they're vegan and transparent about sourcing.
