Hey everyone! I just opened a new bottle of my prenatal gummies and they look... off. They're darker, kinda hard, and some have white spots (sugar bloom?). They're not expired yet. Are they still safe to eat? I'm kinda worried about losing the nutrients if they've degraded.

I've had that happen with my gummy vitamins before. Usually it's just the gummies drying out or sugar crystallizing – not necessarily bad. But for prenatals, I'd be cautious. Maybe check the manufacturer's website or call them. Better safe than sorry! Also, store them in a cool, dry place to prevent that.

I wouldn't risk it with prenatal gummies. The vitamins might lose potency. I mean, it's not like they'll poison you, but you might not get the full dose of folic acid etc. If it's a new bottle, I'd contact the company for a refund. They usually have good customer service.

I had something similar with my regular gummies. They got hard and sticky after I left them in the car. I ate them anyway and they tasted fine. But yeah, for prenatals, I'd check with the brand. Some have batch codes and stuff. You can email them the lot number and they'll tell you.

Thanks everyone! I'll contact the company to be safe. I didn't even think about the lot number. I appreciate the advice. I'll keep them in a cooler place next time. :)
