Are Probiotic Gummies Just Candy in Disguise?

I just checked the label on my new probiotic gummies – 5g of sugar per serving! Isn't that just glorified candy? I thought we were supposed to be getting healthy here. What's the point if I'm just ingesting sugar with a tiny bit of bacteria?

Totally get your frustration, Sam. But for many people, the convenience is key. I have clients who would never take probiotics if they weren't gummies. It's better than nothing. Maybe look for brands with sugar alcohols or stevia? Some are lower sugar.

I'm with SolarSam. As a runner, I watch every gram of sugar. I switched to pills. Yeah, they're bigger, but no sugar crash. Gummies are a marketing gimmick imo.

I actually started with gummies and they got me into the habit. Now I take a mix – gummies for convenience on busy days, pills when I'm home. But I agree, the sugar is concerning. I wish they'd make savory gummies lol.
