Hey all! Looking for some advice. My dad (65) has been complaining about digestion and my best friend is a fitness nut who swears by probiotics. I want to get them a 'health pack' or just some solid probiotic gummies as a gift. Any recommendations? I'm new to this, so any help is appreciated!

For your dad, look for a multi-strain probiotic with at least 10 billion CFUs. Also, check for prebiotics like inulin - they feed the good bacteria. For your gym buddy, ensure it has a strain like Lactobacillus or Bifidobacterium that's been shown to help with GI comfort during heavy training. I'd suggest brands like Olly or New Chapter, but always check the label.

I do IF and found that probiotic gummies help with bloating on fasting days. For your friend, make sure they don't have added sugar - some brands add a ton. Look for ones sweetened with xylitol or stevia. Also, your dad might prefer something with ginger or peppermint for tummy ease. Just a thought!

For your dad, I'd recommend getting a probiotic that also has vitamin D or B12 - older adults often need those. And for your fitness friend, maybe a gummy with added electrolytes? I've seen some with coconut water. Also, from a yoga perspective, gut health is key for overall well-being, so any good probiotic is a great gift!

I've tried a ton of these. Check out the brand 'BioGanic' - they have a probiotic gummy with 15 strains and no artificial stuff. My mom (70) loves them, and my trainer buddy takes them too. They're a bit pricey but worth it. Also, they have a subscription option, which is nice for ongoing gifts. Just make sure to store them in a cool place, or they lose potency.
