Hey everyone! I just stumbled upon this study about probiotic gummies and I'm a bit skeptical. It claims that certain probiotic strains in gummy form can survive stomach acid and reach the gut. But is it just a marketing gimmick? Here's the link: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12345678/ What do you guys think? Anyone tried these gummies?

Oh, I've seen those studies before. It's always 'in vitro' or on a small sample. Honestly, I've tried a few probiotic gummies and they did nothing for my digestion. I'll stick to my fermented foods. But to each their own.

The real issue is the sugar content! Most gummies are loaded with sugar, which feeds the bad bacteria. Even if the probiotics survive, you're undoing the good. I only take capsules or plain powder without added junk. Check the label!

As a med student, I can tell you that the study design matters. This one seems to be a randomized controlled trial, but it's funded by a gummy company. That's a conflict of interest. Also, the strains used are proprietary, so you can't verify if the product you buy actually contains them. I'd wait for independent research.
