Just saw this study on PubMed (PMID: 38712345) claiming that Bacillus coagulans in gummies improves gut health and even boosts energy. Sounds too good to be true? The study was funded by a supplement company though. What do you guys think – legit findings or just marketing fluff?

I've been taking probiotic gummies with that strain for a month. Honestly, my digestion is better and I feel less bloated during workouts. But yeah, if the company funded it, I'd take the results with a grain of salt. Still, if it works for me, that's all that matters lol.

I looked up the study. It's a small RCT (n=60) with decent methodology. But industry funding is a red flag for bias. The results show statistical significance for some endpoints like stool consistency, but the energy claim is based on a subjective survey. I'd wait for an independent replication before fully trusting it.

Thanks Quincy! That's helpful. So basically it's promising but not proven. I might try it out, but I'll keep my expectations in check. Anyone know of any unbiased reviews on this strain?

Check out Examine.com – they usually break down supplements without bias. But for me, I'll stick with my gummies regardless. Placebo or not, they're tasty haha.
