Probiotic Gummies on Sale at Costco - Too Good to Be True?
Hey everyone! I just saw probiotic gummies at Costco for $9.99, which is like half the price of the usual brand I get at the pharmacy. Is this a red flag or a legit steal? Any thoughts?
Honestly, I've bought those from Costco before and they worked just fine for my digestion. I think sometimes they get bulk deals or it's a seasonal discount. Just check the expiration date and the CFU count - as long as it's similar to what you usually take, I'd say go for it! 🙌
I've seen those too! My grandkids love the gummy vitamins, but I'm always worried about sugar content. And probiotics are sensitive to heat, so I wonder if storing them in a big warehouse affects them? Any scientists here? 😅
Great point, DynamicDan767! Actually, science says that as long as they're stored properly (cool, dry place), the probiotic viability should be fine. But yes, check the CFU count and the specific strains. Sometimes cheaper versions have fewer strains or lower CFU. But if it matches the label, it's probably a legit deal. Also, look for 'live cultures' on the label. And yeah, watch the sugar, but that's for another thread 😉
Thanks for the input, everyone! I checked the label and it has similar CFU to my usual brand. Bought a jar and will report back. Fingers crossed 🤞
