Will my probiotic gummies survive a cross-country flight?

Hey all! I'm heading out on a week-long hiking trip and I want to bring my probiotic gummies. I'll be flying first, then driving. I'm worried they might melt in my carry-on or get flagged by TSA. Do any of you have experience traveling with these? How do you store them?

Ugh, I feel you! I took probiotic gummies on a road trip last summer and they turned into a sticky blob when I left them in the car. For flying, TSA doesn't care about gummies, they're not a liquid. But I'd keep them in a cool place, like a bag with an ice pack. Also, check the consistency when you arrive – if they're soft, pop them in the fridge for a bit.

Great question! I travel with probiotics often. First, check the specific brand's storage instructions – some are more heat-sensitive. I usually pack them in a small insulated pouch with a reusable ice pack (as long as it's frozen solid for TSA). If you're hiking, keep them in a shaded part of your pack. And yes, TSA is fine with gummies. Safe travels!

Thanks for the tips! I'll look into an insulated pouch. The brand says 'store below 77°F' so I'm definitely concerned about the plane cargo hold. I'll keep them on my person. Appreciate the help!

Good call keeping them in your carry-on. Even if it's warm in the cabin, it's better than the cargo. Oh and don't forget to take one during the flight – the air travel can mess with your gut! 😉
