Okay so I've been taking these sea moss gummies for about a week now (the ones with bladderwrack and burdock root, you know the triple threat) and I've noticed I'm having super vivid dreams. Like, wake up in a sweat vivid. Not bad dreams, just... intense. And I could swear my taste buds are off - my morning coffee tastes a little... ocean-y? Anyone else experience this or am I just losing it?

LOL @ ocean-y coffee. I've been on the sea moss train for like 3 months and I definitely get the vivid dreams. I actually kind of love them, they're like trippy adventure movies every night. The taste bud thing I haven't noticed, but then again I drink so much coffee I can't taste anything anyway. But hey, at least you're not allergic, right? ;)

Hey! Med student here. Vivid dreams and taste changes are actually reported side effects from some supplements, especially things like sea moss that are high in iodine and other minerals. Iodine can affect thyroid function, which can mess with your metabolism and even your senses. Also, the gummies might have other herbs that could interact. It's probably not dangerous, but it's worth mentioning to your doc if it bothers you or if you have thyroid issues. And the bright urine? That's usually just excess B vitamins (if they added those), totally harmless. Just stay hydrated! :)

Thanks for the replies! @QuartzQuinn532, glad it's not just me, though I'm not sure I'm ready for trippy movies every night, haha. @VeggieVictor513, that's reassuring (and a little scary about the thyroid). I'll keep an eye on it. Maybe I'll switch to mornings instead of evenings and see if the dreams ease up. Do you think that helps?

Yes, taking them earlier in the day could definitely help! Since they might give you a little energy or affect your brain chemistry, taking them at night could amplify dreams. Try mornings for a week and see if it changes. Also, make sure you're not exceeding the recommended dose. More isn't better with these! :)
