Hey all! So I tried making sea moss gummies at home with gelatin and some sea moss powder. First batch was a mess - all gooey and wouldn't set. Anyone got a good recipe or tips? I'm keto, so no sugar if possible.

Did you bloom the gelatin properly? That's usually the issue. Also, try using agar instead, it sets firmer. And for keto, use stevia or monk fruit. I've got a recipe using agar-agar that never fails. Let me know if you want it.

I've been making my own for a while. The key is to use enough gelatin and not too much liquid. Also, low heat is crucial - you don't want to kill the nutrients. I added some vitamin C powder and they came out great. Maybe you used too much juice?

Agar is the way to go for sure. Gelatin can be finicky. Also, you need to let them set in the fridge for at least 4 hours. And what's your ratio? For agar, it's usually 1 teaspoon per cup of liquid. That should give you a good gummy texture.

Thanks guys! I didn't bloom the gelatin, that might be it. I'll try the agar recipe instead. And I added too much water I think. Do you have a specific recipe, RootRose? I'm keto and need zero sugar.
